GRAPHIDOR is a software package running on Personal Computers. It is designed to be independent of the control systems on site (PLC, computers,...) to confirm its universal use.
GRAPHIDOR ensures that the parameter values obtained for digital and analog controllers are optimum and robust.
GRAPHIDOR is used for single and cascade loops, continuous and batch productions.

1. IDENTIFY THE PROCESS TO CONTROL

The process to be controlled is looked upon as a first order system (static gain, time constant), with or without deadtime.

That global approach is valuable for more than 80% of the industrial processes.

A change in the control variable of an up and/or down step from it's operating point gives the characteristics of the model used on Graphidor. That identification is held on site with the means available (recorder, screen hard copy,...).

The time constant is defined as the third part of the response time, whatever the measurement behavior is.
