THE ACTIVITIES
COTEMS is involved in finding out solutions to difficult dynamical problems. These solutions are developed from classical tools and, most of the time, on industrial plants, they don't imply training for the operator's people.
The performances obtained are mainly coming from the global system analysis "ASYST", whatever the objectives are: behavioral control, resources optimization, control strategies definition,
Using "ASYST" we can realize applications on a contract basis with payment depending on the performances increase obtained.
Deduced from the "ASYST" global system analysis, several tools are employed in accordance with the problems to solve.
, one of these tools, has been used for industrial applications for more than 24 years.
TRAINING COURSES
The training courses are related to:
the purchase of the license of the GRAPHIDOR software package (see product access modes),
or a sensitive experience to the global system analysis "ASYST", for industrial users who want to get familiar with this methodology used for controlling the behavior of any structure, from the concept (engineering) to optimization of operational processes.
THE REFERENCES
Employed for now more than 30 years, "ASYST" is an efficient fully proven tool whatever the application domains are: technical, environmental, training,…
Information will be returned corresponding to the case submitted for examination.
With GRAPHIDOR, whatever the production processes and the control tools are (continuous or batch processes with analog or digital controllers on PLC or on computers), profits are realized on the return.
Don't be surprised if the variance of the significant variables of the process is sometimes reduced as much as 80%, as some of our Customers have found out.
With more than 24 years experience utilizing GRAPHIDOR in industrial area, references are numerous on continuous and batch processes for applications in various domains, e.g. petroleum, electricity, chemical, pharmaceutical, food, …to name but a few.
The following application is cited as an example.
A Customer's plant involves continuous and 15 batch reactors units. Each unit uses a fluid thermal product maintain in temperature by a furnace.
The capacity of that furnace is 98% operated.
The increase from 15 to 17 batch reactors requires finding a solution to satisfy the increased heater demand:
- adding a new furnace was very expensive,
- implementing multivariable control algorithms on each reactor was also expensive plus the furnace capacity increase is expected to be about 20%.
The global analytical system "ASYST" was used to meet the objective and led in three modifications on the sensors and valve characteristics for each reactor.
GRAPHIDOR allows determining the optimal and robustness PI parameter values for the cascade control loops.
The industrial Customer applies the same approach on the others reactors.
The result is an availability of 49,8% of the furnace with all the plant running at its full charge. No need of a new furnace, specific control algorithms nor any training for operator's personnel.
